Overview

Pebble Beach has been ranked #1 on Golf Digest’s Top 100 Public Courses since 2003. Rarely does something with this much hype and build-up exceed expectations. Pebble Beach, however, does exactly that. Consider all the elements of an epic golf course – layout, beauty, history, crashing waves from the Pacific Ocean – and they all majestically coalesce at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
 

Pro Tip: Expect your round to be a minimum of 5 to 5.5 hours. Every golfer will be looking for photo ops. And why not? It’s Pebble Beach! Embrace the fact that it’s going to be a slow round. Where else are you looking to go? To the hotel fitness center?

 

What Was Impressive

  • The celebrity holes – 5 through 10 and 16 through 18 –were indeed stunningly beautiful and incredibly fun to play.

  • The dramatic elevation changes of hole 6.

  • Pro Tip: Strongly consider walking your round with a caddy or with a pull cart.

  • Course conditions were impeccable.

  • The course marshals were incredibly friendly and helpful.

  • Take a deep breath in the tee box of hole 7, the iconic par 3, and feel the aura of this
    magnificent hole. Remember, club selection is of paramount importance on this hole,
    whether you choose to select your sand wedge or a driver, as Tony Finau did

What Could Be Improved

  •  It’s difficult to improve on near perfection. Their pull carts were awkward to use. The course would be better served purchasing a fleet of the well-engineered Clicgear carts.

  • Let’s talk about value. In 2024, the greens fees for Pebble Beach were $625, with reports that
    they will increase to $1,000 in 2025. In order to make an advanced tee time to play Pebble
    Beach, you must stay at their resort. In 2024, the minimum cost of a room was $1,400. Valueis in the eyes of the beholder. How much is this bucket list experience worth?
